Police in Queensland are actively searching for a man and a woman involved in a brazen armed robbery and assault at a service station in Morayfield. The incident, which occurred early on September 14, involved the assault of two women and an attempted car theft. At around 5:45 am, the suspects, described as a 35-year-old man from Granville and a 26-year-old woman from Maryborough, targeted a service station on the Bruce Highway. Despite failing to steal two vehicles, they successfully commandeered a red Mitsubishi Outlander after assaulting its driver. The pair fled the scene heading north on the highway, reportedly threatening victims with a firearm. Later that morning, the stolen vehicle was found crashed near Old Caloundra Road in Glenview. Witnesses saw the suspects fleeing on foot, prompting police to declare an emergency under the Public Safety Preservation Act. An extensive search was launched, but the duo remains at large. A homemade firearm was recovered near the crash site, and both the weapon and the vehicle are undergoing forensic examination. Authorities have urged the suspects to surrender and are appealing to the public for any information that could aid in their capture. Anyone with details is encouraged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers. Post navigation Two Killed in Moolboolaman Crash Abandoned Sailboat Sparks Search
