Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance following a hit-and-run incident that occurred early this morning in Cedar Vale. Just after midnight, a white Toyota Camry struck a 66-year-old roadworker on the Mount Lindesay Highway near Cedar Grove Road. The driver fled the scene without offering help.

The injured roadworker was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in critical condition. Authorities are urging the driver of the Camry to come forward and are seeking any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the incident.
