Queensland Police have discovered what they believe to be human remains as they continue their investigation into the suspicious disappearance of 56-year-old Andrew Burow from Kelvin Grove. The remains were located at a newly declared crime scene in Maidenwell, one of two new sites established, with the other being in Moore. The investigation, dubbed Operation Veer, was launched by the Brisbane City Criminal Investigation Branch following a report of Burow’s disappearance on August 24. Police had previously appealed for information about three vehicles and specific locations, leading to a Crime Stoppers report about a fire in the Blackbutt area on August 26. This tip-off resulted in the establishment of the crime scenes along Brooklands Pimpimbudgee Road in Maidenwell and bushland near Moore. Authorities are seeking further information about three vehicles of interest: a black 2010 BMW X3, a black 2011 Ford Ranger utility with false registration, and a silver 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander. Witnesses or anyone with footage of these vehicles in the Brisbane, Ipswich, Yarraman, Blackbutt, and Sunshine Coast areas during the specified dates are urged to contact police. Brisbane Regional Crime Coordinator, Detective Acting Superintendent Craig Williams, expressed gratitude to the public and media for their assistance, emphasizing the importance of every piece of information in the ongoing investigation. Police continue to work tirelessly to uncover the truth behind this mysterious disappearance. Post navigation Crash Survivor Thanks Lifesavers
