In a groundbreaking move, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has introduced Diia.AI, the world’s first AI assistant dedicated to providing government services. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was briefed on the innovative project during a presentation by Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and his team on September 1, 2025. The AI assistant is set to enhance the accessibility and efficiency of government services for citizens across Ukraine.

Diia.AI is designed to operate 24/7 through a user-friendly chat interface, assisting citizens with a variety of services, including accessing state registers and managing paperwork. The first available service, obtaining an income certificate, marks the beginning of a broader rollout of features. Future updates will integrate additional services into the Diia app, such as social and veterans’ services, Diia.Signature for legal entities, and enhanced support for drivers and taxpayers.

The Ministry’s presentation also highlighted upcoming projects including the Electronic Court, which aims to streamline the justice system by allowing Ukrainians to file and track cases online. In education, the Mriia platform is expanding, with over two thousand schools set to participate, enhancing resources for teachers, students, and parents. Furthermore, Ukraine is poised to begin 5G trials in select cities, with plans for nationwide deployment.

President Zelenskyy praised the Ministry’s efforts, underlining the importance of digital transformation in supporting the country’s development and resilience. The President emphasized the need to continue scaling digital services while improving the existing infrastructure to better serve the Ukrainian people.
