Brussels – The European Parliament will hold a media briefing on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, to reveal the findings of a new Eurobarometer survey. The survey offers insights into EU citizens’ expectations and priorities, emphasizing the need for protection against global crises, strengthened security, and enhanced competitiveness.

Delphine Colard, the Parliament’s spokesperson, is set to present the survey results at 10:00 AM in the Anna Politkovskaya press conference room in Brussels and via Interactio. The findings will remain under embargo until 7:00 AM the following day, ensuring detailed coverage and analysis.

Conducted by research agency Verian between May 5 and May 29, 2025, the survey gathered responses from citizens across all 27 EU Member States. It aims to gauge the public’s perspective on the EU’s role in addressing future challenges. The complete results, including national data sets, will be available on the Eurobarometer website on September 3.

The briefing will be followed by a Q&A session, with interpretation services provided in six languages. However, due to the embargo, public streaming will not be available. Journalists seeking to understand the EU’s strategic priorities and public sentiment are encouraged to attend.
