In a significant development under Operation Xray Bold, the Moreton District Domestic and Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit has charged a 33-year-old North Lakes man with an additional 28 serious domestic violence offences. The charges come after extensive investigations by the Serious Crime Investigation Team (SCIT), further implicating the man, who is alleged to have ties with the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang.

Initially charged with 12 offences in June, the man now faces a total of 40 charges. These include 18 counts of rape, two counts of choking, and several other serious offences such as coercive control, torture, and unlawful stalking involving two female victims. The suspect remains in custody, awaiting his court appearance at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 30.

Detective Inspector Phil Hurst has stated that SCIT detectives are actively seeking more potential victims. “We urge anyone who may have been affected by this individual to come forward. We promise to treat all reports with sensitivity and respect,” said Hurst, emphasizing the importance of reporting domestic and sexual violence.

Operation Xray Bold, aimed at tackling domestic violence within the Moreton district, continues its investigations, encouraging anyone with information to contact the police. Support services remain available for those affected, ensuring victims receive the necessary assistance and guidance.
