In a significant crackdown on organized crime, Queensland Police have arrested a high-ranking member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) along with an accomplice, charging them with a total of 73 offences as part of Operation Xray Slight. The arrests mark the culmination of a seven-month investigation led by the Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch and Taskforce Maxima. The operation concluded on August 21 with the arrest of a 43-year-old man in Hatton Vale and a 30-year-old woman in Monto. The charges against the man include 23 counts of contravention of a domestic violence order, 19 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, and additional charges related to recruiting for a criminal organization and trafficking. Meanwhile, the woman faces 26 charges, predominantly related to drug supply. Detectives executed search warrants across South-East Queensland and the Monto area, leading to the seizure of dangerous drugs, drug paraphernalia, and OMCG club colors. Both suspects have been denied bail and are set to appear in court today, August 22. Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield emphasized the operation’s impact, stating that serious organized crime linked to OMCGs will not be tolerated in the community. “We’re committed to keeping dangerous drugs off our streets by detecting, deterring, and disrupting the movement of harmful substances,” he said. Police urge anyone with information about criminal activities to report anonymously via Crime Stoppers or contact Policelink. The Queensland Police Service remains vigilant in its efforts to combat organized crime and ensure public safety. Post navigation Major Drug Bust in Longreach Teenage Girl Missing in Ipswich
