Police in Queensland are seeking public assistance following an armed robbery at a hotel in Allenstown, Rockhampton, that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, August 19. The incident took place around 1 a.m. when a man, masquerading as a guest, confronted a 48-year-old hotel employee on Gladstone Road.

The suspect brandished a knife and demanded money, prompting the employee to comply. After obtaining an undisclosed sum, the employee retreated to a secure room, and the suspect fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, the hotel staff member was unharmed during the encounter.

Authorities have described the suspect as a Caucasian male, aged between 19 and 21, approximately 170 to 175 cm tall, with short black hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black puffer jacket, long black pants, and black and white shoes.

Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding the incident, or those with CCTV or dashcam footage from Gladstone Road between midnight and 2 a.m., to come forward.
