Detectives from the Queensland Police Service are urging the public for assistance as they continue to investigate an attempted murder in Bellmere, Moreton Bay Region, which occurred in August 2024. Authorities responded to an emergency call at a Peggy Road address around 1 a.m. on August 29, 2024, where a 39-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Caboolture Hospital and remains in stable condition. Three suspects have been apprehended and charged in connection with the incident. A 27-year-old man from Woodridge was charged on September 13, 2024, while a 23-year-old from Crestmead was charged on September 15, 2024. The third suspect, a 32-year-old from Belmont, faced charges on February 26, 2025. Each faces charges of attempted murder, entering a dwelling with intent while armed, unlawful possession of weapons, and arson. All three suspects remain in custody, awaiting their court appearance scheduled for August 14. Despite these arrests, detectives believe a fourth individual may still be involved. They are appealing to the public for any information or footage, especially CCTV and dashcam recordings from the area.
