Police in Queensland are investigating the sudden death of a 43-year-old man found in the Nicholson River, Doomadgee, on Sunday, August 10. Emergency services responded to reports of a man in the water around 1:15 p.m., where he was discovered unresponsive and later pronounced deceased.

The man had last been seen in Doomadgee on August 5, and authorities are appealing to the public for any information about his whereabouts between August 5 and 10. Residents are urged to contact the Doomadgee Police Station or Crimestoppers with any relevant details.
