In Kingaroy, a 19-year-old man was apprehended following a series of armed robberies and vehicle-related crimes that took place on August 5. Queensland Police have charged the individual with multiple offences, including armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. The crime spree began at approximately 4:30 PM when a woman in a car park on Windsor Circle was threatened with a knife by the suspect, who unsuccessfully attempted to steal her car. Shortly after, the same individual entered a nearby property, threatened the resident, and took her car for a short drive before abandoning it. The suspect then continued to James Street, where he stole cash after threatening two more women. The series of events concluded when the suspect confronted a woman on First Avenue, forcibly removing her from her vehicle and driving away in her 2016 Holden Colorado. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned, and by early morning on August 6, police located and arrested the man in Cherbourg after spotting a stolen 2024 Toyota Rav4. The man faces 20 charges, including armed robbery, trespass, and vehicle theft. He is scheduled to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 7.
