Queensland Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Chermside on the night of July 1, 2025. Residents reported hearing gunshots at a Mylne Street address around 11:45 p.m., prompting an immediate response from police and emergency services. Although one individual was inside the property at the time, no physical injuries were reported.

Authorities found spent ammunition casings nearby, but subsequent patrols did not uncover additional evidence. Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety, although investigations are still underway.
