Queensland Police are calling for witnesses following a severe single-vehicle accident near Childers on July 30. The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Childers Road, near Swantons Road, in North Isis when a white Renault Kangoo van overturned. The driver, a 76-year-old man from Childers, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. His passenger, a 70-year-old woman, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where she is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. They urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage to contact police.
