President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen discussed Ukraine’s European integration during a recent phone call, focusing on the opening of negotiation clusters. The conversation underscored Denmark’s robust support for Ukraine, particularly in enhancing its defense capabilities amid ongoing challenges.

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Denmark’s tangible assistance, which has been crucial for Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to align more closely with the European Union. As Denmark holds the EU Council Presidency this term, both leaders emphasized the importance of utilizing this period to implement necessary decisions to advance Ukraine’s integration process.

A key topic of discussion was a bill proposed by Zelenskyy, aimed at safeguarding the independence of anti-corruption institutions in Ukraine.
