In a significant diplomatic engagement, Deputy Heads of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva and Pavlo Palisa, met with a European Union delegation led by General Seán Clancy, Chair of the EU Military Committee. The discussions, held on July 25, 2025, centered on enhancing security cooperation and addressing the urgent needs of Ukraine’s defense forces. Key topics included security challenges, priority cooperation areas in the defense sector, and the swift transition to the operational phase of the Coalition of the Willing. Ihor Zhovkva expressed gratitude for the EU’s military support and emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to deepen collaboration through the SAFE instrument to meet critical defense needs. Pavlo Palisa highlighted technology transfer, defense industry development, and the coordination of security efforts between Ukraine and its European partners. He noted Ukraine’s valuable experience in countering modern threats, including drones and electronic warfare, and expressed readiness to share these insights to benefit allied training. Representatives of the European Union reaffirmed their steadfast support for Ukraine, underscoring the importance of continued cooperation in the face of ongoing challenges.
