Authorities are investigating a fatal incident that occurred in Carrara, Queensland, on the evening of July 24, 2025. A 63-year-old local man lost his life after being hit by two vehicles on Nerang Broadbeach Road. Emergency services responded to the scene near Birmingham Road at approximately 7:10 p.m., following reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Initial findings from the Forensic Crash Unit suggest the man was crossing the road when a Holden Commodore hit him. Subsequently, a Ford Falcon also struck him on the opposite side of the road. Neither the 57-year-old male driver of the Holden nor the 51-year-old female driver of the Ford was injured. Both drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with police inquiries.
