Police have charged two men following a dramatic pursuit through Moreton District, Queensland. The incident, which occurred on July 23, began around 1:20 pm when police responded to reports of gunshots from a vehicle near the Bruce Highway at Murrumba Downs.

Officers attempted to intercept a black Commodore matching the vehicle description, but it evaded capture and sped northbound on the Bruce Highway. The pursuit continued through several suburbs, with the vehicle eventually stopping after a successful tyre deflation device deployment at Mount Samson.

The suspects, a 26-year-old man from Bli Bli and another from Greenbank, were apprehended near Watson Road, Armstrong Creek, with the help of police dog PD Stryker. Despite thorough searches, no firearms were found, but investigations are ongoing.

The Bli Bli man faces charges including unlawful vehicle use, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and drug possession. The Greenbank man is charged with similar offences, including unlicensed driving and being under the influence. Both men will appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.

Authorities urge witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers as investigations continue.
