Detectives from Taskforce Maxima Brisbane Region have made a significant breakthrough in the fight against organized crime, charging three individuals with 33 drug-related offenses. The charges were laid following the execution of search warrants at three locations in Greenbank, Browns Plains, and Chambers Flats on July 21.

A large quantity of dangerous drugs, including cocaine, heroin, MDMA, methylamphetamine, and cannabis, valued at approximately $897,000, was seized during the operation. Additionally, investigators confiscated cryovac sealers, scales, a money counter, and a Volkswagen Caddy, which are believed to be linked to drug trafficking activities.

Detective Superintendent Troy Pukallus praised the extensive investigative efforts that led to the seizure. “Following a protracted investigation, Detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command were able to identify and locate these individuals who have links to an organized crime gang, putting a dent in criminal activity that causes severe, widespread harm to our community,” he stated.

The individuals charged include a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man from Greenbank, along with a 21-year-old man from Park Ridge. They face multiple charges, including drug trafficking, possession, and supply offenses. All are expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 16, with further charges anticipated as investigations continue.
