Three boys have been charged following a series of alleged incidents involving stolen vehicles in Townsville, Queensland, on the night of July 11. The suspects, aged 12 and 13, reportedly engaged in dangerous interactions with police vehicles across multiple locations, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. The sequence of events began when police patrols near a shopping centre carpark on Hervey Range Road in Thuringowa Central encountered a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander around 11 p.m. The vehicle allegedly struck a police car during an attempted escape. Shortly after, the same Outlander was involved in another incident, targeting two additional police vehicles in Mundingburra. Approximately 30 minutes later, both the Outlander and another stolen vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, were involved in a similar incident in Vincent. Police, with assistance from PolAir, tracked the vehicles, successfully deploying a tyre deflation device in Condon, which halted the Corolla. The occupants reportedly fled in the Outlander, which was later found damaged on Gorden Street, Garbutt. The boys, hailing from Kirwan, Garbutt, and Deeragun, have been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and are set to appear before the Townsville Childrens Court. Investigations into the incidents are ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers. Post navigation Global Crackdown Nets Human Traffickers
