Police have charged two individuals in connection with a wounding incident that occurred in Mooloolaba on the night of June 29. The Queensland Police Service reported that a 36-year-old man from Caboolture and a 30-year-old man from Springwood were involved in a confrontation at a residence on Palm Drive around 9:55 p.m. Authorities arrived shortly after the incident and found the two men suffering from serious injuries. They were immediately transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for medical treatment. A third individual, a 54-year-old local man, was also injured and taken to Nambour Hospital; he has since been released. Following the investigation, the 54-year-old Mooloolaba man has been charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. He is set to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 30. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy from Mooloolaba faces the same charges and is scheduled to appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court on July 2.
