Police have apprehended a 27-year-old man in connection with two break-ins that occurred in North Brisbane on June 28. The suspect, a Raceview resident, faces charges including enter dwelling with intent, possessing dangerous drugs, attempted robbery, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is set to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on June 30. Authorities allege that two men broke into a residence on Kingfisher Place in Chapel Hill at around 5:30 a.m. The homeowner, a 53-year-old man, confronted the intruders, one of whom was reportedly armed with a knife. Demanding keys to a Porsche parked outside, the suspects fled the scene in a white sedan, leaving the homeowner unharmed. Shortly after, a second break-in allegedly occurred on Thiesfield Street in Fig Tree Pocket, where a white Kia Cerato was stolen. The vehicle was later found at a Bundamba address. Police are still searching for additional suspects involved in the incidents. Investigations are ongoing, and police are appealing to the public for any information or surveillance footage that could assist with the case.
