Ferny Grove police have apprehended three teenagers following the theft of a car from Everton Park on June 20. The vehicle, a silver Mazda CX-5, was reportedly stolen from a Brook Street residence late at night. The next morning, police found the alleged stolen car with the teenagers asleep inside on Callan Street, Keperra. Officers from Ferny Grove general duties, along with the Tactical Crime Squad and Brisbane Dog Squad, responded promptly to the scene, resulting in the arrest of the suspects. The teenagers, identified as a 12-year-old girl from Keperra, a 14-year-old boy from Mitchelton, and a 17-year-old boy from Keperra, face charges including entering a dwelling to commit an offense, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and receiving tainted property. The 14-year-old and 17-year-old are scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Children’s Court today, while the 12-year-old will appear on June 27.
