Two teenage boys have been charged following an investigation into an alleged assault in Sippy Downs, Queensland. The incident, which took place on Sunday, June 15, involved the discharge of a fire extinguisher into a vehicle at traffic lights on High Street.

According to police reports, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the juveniles allegedly used a fire extinguisher, stolen earlier from a nearby car park, to spray into the open back window of a Silver Suzuki Vitara. The vehicle’s driver, a 29-year-old man, and a 5-month-old child suffered minor injuries that required medical attention.

The suspects, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old from Buderim, face multiple charges. The 15-year-old has been charged with 13 offenses, including three counts of willful damage and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. The 14-year-old is facing six charges, including two counts each of willful damage and assault occasioning bodily harm. Both will be processed under the Youth Justice Act.
