President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine paid tribute to the victims of a devastating Russian attack in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, where a residential building was struck, claiming 23 lives. On June 19, the President laid flowers at the site, marking a solemn moment of remembrance for those lost in the early hours of June 17. The attack, which was part of a larger assault involving 440 Shahed drones and 32 missiles, left destruction across eight districts in Kyiv, resulting in 28 deaths and affecting 142 residents, including six children. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko confirmed that search operations have concluded, with over 400 rescue workers and 200 units of equipment involved in the aftermath. As the city grapples with the destruction, more than 500 residents have filed applications documenting their loss. The Kyiv City Military Administration, led by Tymur Tkachenko, is actively providing assistance to over 1,000 affected individuals. Efforts are underway to assess the structural integrity of the damaged building, and Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba assured that compensation will be provided if reconstruction is deemed unfeasible.
