In a significant development, the Moreton District’s Domestic and Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit has charged a man with multiple domestic violence offences. The accused, a known associate of an outlaw motorcycle gang, has been implicated in grievous bodily harm and other severe charges.

The charges follow investigations by the Serious Crime Investigation Team (SCIT) into incidents reported by a woman that occurred throughout 2019 and 2020. The 32-year-old North Lakes resident was apprehended on June 13 and faces a series of allegations, including rape, unlawful stalking, and the dangerous operation of a vehicle.

Alongside the arrest, police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, discovering drug paraphernalia, electronic devices, and weapons. These items have been seized for forensic examination. The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on July 21.

Detective Inspector Phil Hurst emphasized the role of SCIT in identifying and prosecuting high-risk domestic violence offenders. Authorities continue to urge individuals experiencing domestic violence to report incidents and seek support from available services, underscoring their commitment to victim safety and offender accountability.
