Detectives from the North Brisbane Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 30-year-old man from Brighton, Queensland, with multiple child sex offences. The charges include six counts of grooming children under 16 and three counts of grooming children under 12. These alleged offences were committed while he was employed at an educational facility in McDowall between December 2024 and May 2025. The man is also accused of utilizing the internet to procure children for sexual acts, with nine counts related to children under 16 and three counts involving children under 12. Additionally, he faces charges of possessing child exploitation material, using a carriage service to solicit child abuse material, and possessing tainted property. Authorities have remanded the accused in custody, with a re-appearance scheduled in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 14.
