Police have charged a 29-year-old man following an incident involving a stolen vehicle at Mt Kynoch on June 1. The man was observed behaving suspiciously near a 2012 red Holden Barina before attempting to flee in a stolen 2015 Mercedes Benz A250. During his escape, two police vehicles were damaged before he was taken into custody. The stolen Mercedes Benz was taken from a Kearney’s Spring address on May 30. Investigations revealed that the man forced entry into the Holden Barina, stole items, and has been charged with multiple offenses including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, damaging a police car, and possession of a knife.
