Detectives from the Redcliffe Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 69-year-old man with multiple counts of sexual assault following alleged indecent offences in the Moreton area. The incidents are said to have occurred between January 2024 and April 2025, involving two girls and a woman known to the accused in Redcliffe, Newport, and Griffin.

The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a Brendale property on May 29, where electronic devices were seized for forensic examination, and the man was arrested. The accused has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, as well as common assault and indecent treatment of a child under 16.

The man, a resident of Brendale, was denied police bail and is scheduled to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on May 30. Detective Senior Sergeant Guy Ford of the Redcliffe CPIU emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and urged any potential additional victims to come forward.

Authorities also provided information for individuals who have experienced sexual assault, offering various reporting options, including contacting the police via phone, online, or in person. Support services such as the State-wide Sexual Assault Helpline and 1800 RESPECT were also highlighted for those in need of assistance.

The Queensland Police Service encourages anyone with relevant information to report it and assures confidentiality and support for victims. The investigation underscores the importance of speaking out against sexual assault and seeking justice for survivors.
