The European Parliament has released its agenda for the week of June 2nd to June 8th, 2025, featuring key discussions and meetings with prominent figures. MEPs on the Foreign Affairs Committee will evaluate the progress of reforms in candidate countries moving towards EU membership, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, and Georgia, in separate votes on Wednesday.

Additionally, the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee will vote on the EU’s first-ever rules on dog and cat welfare aimed at regulating breeding establishments, pet shops, and shelters to combat unethical practices in the trade of pets.

In a series of meetings in Bratislava, a Civil Liberties Committee delegation will assess Slovakia’s developments in democracy, rule of law, and fundamental rights. The agenda also includes the 16th session of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly in Lima, Denmark’s preparations for the EU Council presidency, and President Roberta Metsola’s engagements in Copenhagen and Brussels.
