President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier recently held discussions on regional cooperation and support for Ukrainians. During their meeting, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Germany for its European leadership in providing military aid to Ukraine, particularly for its assistance in saving lives and delivering air defense systems. Steinmeier reassured Ukraine of Germany’s continued support in the face of Russian aggression. The two leaders also focused on expanding Ukrainian-German municipal partnerships to aid in recovery projects and offer direct assistance to Ukrainian communities in need. Zelenskyy specifically highlighted Germany’s support in equipping shelters in the Chernihiv region, under the patronage of the Federal President of Germany.
