Police in Rockhampton have charged two individuals in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Berserker on May 24. According to reports, a man entered a Musgrave Street business around 3:05 pm, brandishing a machete, and proceeded to smash two glass cabinets while threatening an employee. The man then allegedly stole cash and cigarettes before fleeing in a black Holden Cruze. Fortunately, the employee was unharmed in the incident.

Following an investigation, a man and a woman were arrested at a Gladstone Road address on May 27. An 18-year-old man from Frenchville has been charged with armed robbery and contravening an order about accessing electronically stored information. He is set to appear before the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on May 28. The 19-year-old woman from Frenchville has been charged with armed robbery and is scheduled to appear in court on June 11. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
