A 34-year-old man from Urangan has been charged with 55 property offences after a series of incidents across multiple suburbs in the Moreton district. The man was apprehended in Rothwell on May 19 following a string of alleged crimes including vehicle thefts, break-ins, and stealing from businesses.

According to Queensland Police, the man’s criminal activities spanned from mid-April until his arrest in May. The charges against him include twelve counts of entering premises to commit indictable offences, nine counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and various fraud and receiving tainted goods charges.

After his arrest, a search warrant was executed at a Burpengary East residence on May 21, leading to the discovery of drugs, stolen e-bikes, jewelry, and clothing linked to previous offences. Subsequently, the man faced two additional charges of attempted fraud and receiving tainted property.

The accused individual remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on May 30. Two other individuals, a 35-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man from Burpengary East, were also arrested in connection with the case and have been charged with drug possession and receiving tainted property, respectively.

Authorities suspect there may be more unreported offences within the North Brisbane, Moreton, and Sunshine Coast regions during the same period. They urge anyone who has experienced theft or break-ins to come forward and report to the police. Investigations are ongoing as the case unfolds.
