Police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man in connection with multiple break and enter incidents involving stolen vehicles and property in Seventeen Mile Rocks and surrounding areas.

According to authorities, the man allegedly broke into a business on Staple Street in Seventeen Mile Rocks on April 4 and stole a set of keys to a Mitsubishi Outlander, which he used to flee the area. The stolen vehicle was reportedly used in several other break-ins in Ipswich and Brisbane’s south over the following month, including the theft of a 2022 LDV Deliver 9 Van from a Forest Lake address.

On May 1, the suspect returned to the same business on Staple Street, where he allegedly stole more property, including additional vehicle keys and two antique toy cars, before leaving the scene. Following investigations, officers from the Centenary Crime Group executed a search warrant at a Bellbird Park address and arrested the man. Stolen vehicle keys and the stolen LDV van were recovered during the operation.

The 35-year-old Bellbird man has been charged with multiple offenses, including enter premise and commit, enter with intent, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, receiving tainted property, enter dwelling and commit, and possess dangerous drugs. He was denied police bail and is scheduled to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court.
