Detectives from the Financial and Cyber Crime Group (FCCG) have arrested a 44-year-old man in North Brisbane on drug-related charges as part of Operation Xray Toren. The man was apprehended following a series of investigations that led to the execution of search warrants at addresses in Nudgee and Redcliffe. During the searches conducted on May 16, officers, including members of the Dog Squad and Public Safety Response Team (PSRT), discovered dangerous drugs, drug paraphernalia, electronic devices, and even a concrete mixer used in drug manufacturing. The 44-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the Redcliffe property and has been charged with various offenses including drug trafficking, possession of dangerous drugs, and dealing with identification information. The accused has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 10. The police allege that the man has been involved in the production and distribution of illicit substances, including Alprazolam and methylamphetamine, since February 2024. Detective Chief Inspector Vince Byrnes emphasized the importance of cracking down on drug-related activities to safeguard the community. He urged the public to report any suspicious behavior or information related to drug trafficking to the authorities.
