Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Irina Mudra, recently met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to discuss the ongoing judicial reform in the country. The meeting, held on May 21, 2025, focused on key issues related to the eighth review of the program under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for Ukraine. During the meeting, the establishment of higher specialized administrative courts was a major topic of discussion. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had submitted a draft law to Parliament regarding the creation of the Specialized District Administrative Court and the Specialized Administrative Appeals Court. Additionally, the competitive procedures for appointing judges to the High Anti-Corruption Court were also addressed. Despite facing Russian aggression, IMF representatives acknowledged the continued implementation of reforms in Ukraine. Irina Mudra thanked international experts for their contributions and stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and openness in the reform process.
