Queensland Police have charged a 19-year-old woman in connection with two separate unlawful wounding incidents that occurred in Bushland Beach and Kirwan. The first incident took place in the early hours of May 17 at a residence on Daintree Drive in Bushland Beach, where two women sustained stab wounds following a verbal altercation. The 43-year-old woman suffered a hand injury, while the 38-year-old woman sustained a shoulder injury. Both victims were taken to Townsville University Hospital for treatment.
The accused has been charged with two counts of wounding and one count of wilful damage in relation to this incident. Additionally, she was charged in connection with a second wounding incident on May 18 in Kirwan, where a 35-year-old man was injured during an altercation at an address on Eureka Crescent. The injured man sought treatment at Mater Private Hospital.
The 19-year-old woman faces charges of enter dwelling with intent, enter dwelling and commit, and wounding. She was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court. A 17-year-old male involved in the Kirwan incident has also been charged and remanded to appear in Townsville Childrens Court.
