The European Parliament has released its agenda for the upcoming week of May 19-25, 2025. The week ahead will be filled with crucial debates and discussions on various pressing issues. On Wednesday, MEPs will tackle the EU’s response to the Israeli government’s plan to seize the Gaza Strip and provide humanitarian support. Additionally, debates on the EU carbon leakage instrument and phasing out Russian energy imports are scheduled. MEPs are also set to approve new legislation imposing tariffs on fertilisers from Russia and Belarus on Thursday. Furthermore, discussions on making Europe more attractive to scientists and the new single market strategy will take place.
