Mackay detectives have arrested and charged a 43-year-old woman after seizing drugs and firearms during a raid at a Nebo Road hotel earlier this month. The police operation took place on May 3, resulting in the discovery of a cache of dangerous drugs, including methylamphetamine, methylenedioxymethamphetamine, and suboxone strips, along with drug paraphernalia and ammunition. In addition to the drugs, law enforcement officials found a firearm and more methylamphetamine in a gold Prado parked outside the hotel. The woman was charged with multiple offenses, including possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, and possession of suspected stolen property. The accused has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Mackay Magistrates Court on July 16.
