During a working visit to the Volyn region, the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, took part in the Day of Joint Action as part of Mental Health Awareness Month, an event observed annually in May by Ukraine and the international community. The event, held at the Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art, featured various activities including a reading zone, art therapy, and sports. Olena Zelenska participated in a reading of “How Are You? An A-to-Z Recovery Alphabet,” a program developed by the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program in collaboration with psychologist Svitlana Roiz. The program aims to support individuals dealing with stress, fatigue, and anxiety, particularly in the context of ongoing societal challenges. The “How Are You?” mental health program also launched a campaign titled “SensoTeka. How Are You?” which provides supportive messages and expert advice on mental health care through guides, handbooks, and educational materials. The Day of Joint Action is part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program and emphasizes the importance of mutual support, empathy, and community for maintaining mental well-being and resilience. The event is held twice a month across all regions of Ukraine and has engaged 25,000 participants this year. The initiative was supported by companies involved in the “Business Without Barriers” initiative and the “How Are You?” university community, which comprises 30 higher education institutions from 20 regions of Ukraine. Olena Zelenska highlighted the significance of such events in helping individuals find new meanings, a sense of community, and mutual support, especially during challenging times.
