First Lady of Ukraine Holds Video Call with First Lady of Belize

The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, recently held a video call with the First Lady of Belize, Rossana Briceño, expressing gratitude for Belize’s consistent support of Ukraine. The call also highlighted Briceño’s participation in the Summits of First Ladies and Gentlemen, as well as the joint organization of an event focused on addressing new challenges for soft power held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva, announced that the EU’s 17th sanctions package against Russia is expected to be adopted in the coming days. The package is anticipated to include substantial restrictive measures. Zhovkva made this statement following a meeting with the Minister for the European Union of Poland, Adam Szłapka.

In another development, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Brusylо, held an online meeting with diplomatic advisors to the leaders of Southeast European countries. The meeting focused on regional cooperation and coordination of efforts in the security sphere.

President of Ukraine addressed the ongoing situation with Russia, stating that Ukraine is waiting to see who will come from Russia before deciding on further steps. The President also mentioned support from the Vatican for a mediatory role and highlighted the positions of various global leaders regarding a ceasefire and negotiations.
