The Burpengary Forensic Crash Unit has taken action against a 22-year-old woman following investigations into a tragic two-vehicle collision in Elimbah on March 24. The incident, which occurred on Bigmor Drive around 7:30 pm, involved a silver Mitsubishi ASX and a silver Ford Falcon. The driver of the Ford, a 59-year-old man from Elimbah, was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on April 7.

The 22-year-old woman from Elimbah, who was behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi, sustained injuries but was in stable condition after being transported to the hospital. She now faces charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while under the influence of an intoxicating substance, excessive speeding, and driving under the influence of alcohol. The accused is scheduled to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 17 to address these charges.
