Police in Queensland have charged two men in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a petrol station in Pimlico. The incident occurred on May 13 when a man entered the petrol station armed with a handgun and demanded money before fleeing in a waiting vehicle with cash. The police were able to intercept the vehicle on Kings Road, Pimlico, and arrested the occupants. The 67-year-old Garbutt man and a 47-year-old Jensen man have both been charged with armed robbery and enter premises to commit an indictable offense. They are scheduled to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on May 14. The third man who was also arrested at the scene is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed during the robbery. The police identified the handgun used in the incident as a gel blaster.
