Detectives in Gladstone have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man with a total of 66 offenses related to a series of break and enter incidents in Gladstone and Tannum Sands. The charges were made as part of Operation Exscind, which aimed to investigate the break-ins that occurred over the past two months.

During the period between February 20 and May 4, several businesses in Gladstone and Yarwun were reportedly broken into. Following this, from May 5 to May 8, more businesses in Tannum Sands experienced break-ins. On May 11, officers from the Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch arrested the suspect at an address in West Gladstone.

The man from South Gladstone faces charges including 28 counts of entering premises and committing indictable offenses by breaking in, 20 counts of entering premises with intent to commit indictable offenses, and various other charges related to unlawful activities. He is scheduled to appear before the Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 13.
