Police in Queensland have arrested two individuals in connection with separate armed burglary incidents that occurred in Westbrook and Pittsworth, south of Toowoomba.

The first incident took place at a residence on Gwenda Drive in Westbrook, where three unknown men entered the home early in the morning. A 39-year-old woman sustained a head injury during an altercation with the intruders, who fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.

Shortly after, another incident occurred at a residence on Hill Street in Pittsworth, where a 58-year-old man was assaulted and threatened with a knife by offenders demanding his car keys. The perpetrators then stole personal items and fled in a stolen vehicle.

The stolen vehicle, a white MG3, was intercepted by police in Darling Heights, leading to the arrest of an 18-year-old man who has been charged with multiple offenses including burglary, armed robbery, and assault. A 17-year-old boy has also been charged in connection with the incidents.

Authorities are still seeking information on the whereabouts of the other individuals involved in the Westbrook incident and the stolen vehicle. Investigations are ongoing.
