Police in Townsville are urging the public to assist in locating a missing piece of police equipment, a hard armour plate, which was lost in the suburb of Kirwan. The incident occurred yesterday morning when officers exited their vehicle on Lanark Street to engage with a community member, inadvertently leaving the armour plate behind.

The hard armour plate is described as black, measuring 25cm by 30cm, and marked with the letters ‘ADA’ alongside a serial number. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have found the plate to report to their nearest police station or contact Policelink.

Additionally, information can be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
