In a dramatic incident in Eli Waters, Queensland, a 20-year-old man from Toogoom has been charged following a reckless operation of a stolen front-end loader. The event unfolded early on June 15, when police responded to reports of a vehicle being driven dangerously on Pialba Burrum Heads Road.

Authorities allege that the suspect had stolen the heavy machinery from a worksite at the intersection of Pialba Burrum Heads Road and Hervey Bay Maryborough Road around 4 a.m. The individual reportedly caused significant damage by crashing into traffic lights, streetlights, and road signage during his spree.

The pursuit ended when the loader crashed outside a residence on Jeppeson Road. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended shortly after on Periwinkle Crescent. He faces charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation, evading police, and multiple counts of property damage and assault.
