Detectives from Tully and Mackay have arrested and charged a 43-year-old woman in connection with a stolen vehicle incident that occurred in Mount Sheridan on April 7. The woman allegedly attempted to flee a Roadside Drug Test, dragging a police officer with her vehicle and causing minor injuries. According to reports, on May 3, Mackay detectives visited an address on Nebo Road where they discovered the woman. During a search of the property, officers found a rifle, methylamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and other illicit items. The Carruchan woman is facing multiple charges, including possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, and serious assault on a police officer. She has been remanded in custody and is set to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on July 16. Authorities urge anyone with information related to the incident to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
