Queensland police are appealing for witnesses after a single-vehicle crash at Kurby in the early hours of November 1, in which a red Mazda struck a power pole. Emergency services were called to Compton Road, east of the Logan Motorway off-ramp, at about 3:30 a.m. Police found the vehicle abandoned and located a 38-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy nearby. Both were transported to hospital in stable condition. The woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, while the boy was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital. Police are asking anyone who saw the red Mazda, Queensland registration 744ZGM, before the crash to come forward.
