The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for parts of West central Lexington County, Southeastern Saluda County, and Northeastern Aiken County in South Carolina until 6:45 PM EDT on October 10. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was detected near Batesburg-Leesville at 6:20 PM EDT, moving north at 30 mph. Residents are urged to seek shelter immediately.
