Hurricane Warning Issued for Gulf Waters and Sounds

A Hurricane Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for areas including the Extreme Mississippi Sound, Breton Sound, and coastal waters from Boothville, LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River. Northeast winds of 30 to 40 knots with gusts up to 60 knots and seas ranging from 12 to 17 feet are expected, with impacts lasting until early Saturday morning.
